A collection, with context

We bring together names in official PSA birth tables, given names documented in Philippine public records, and word-name inspiration from language dictionaries. The collections are labelled separately: a registered-birth statistic and a dictionary definition answer different questions.

Language without assumptions

A name’s origin describes its language history, not a person’s identity. Names travel across languages and families. A name does not establish someone’s religion, ethnicity, ancestry, or personality. We preserve uncertainty in disputed etymologies and leave out unsourced claims.

Useful, with or without an account

Read, browse, save and compare. The core pages are static and the shortlist runs in your browser. We do not invent audio pronunciations or a national popularity score for names without figures.
