MEANING & HISTORY
What does Alberto mean?
Alberto is a Spanish and Italian counterpart of Albert. The older Germanic name combines noble with bright or famous.
It is related to the fuller Adalbert family rather than to Latin words for whiteness. The Romance final o marks the adapted form. Alberto and Albert consequently share a root explanation even though their spellings and pronunciations differ.
