MEANING & HISTORY
What does Jafet mean?
Jafet is a European biblical form corresponding to English Japheth, one of Noah’s sons in Genesis. The Hebrew narrative links the name with making room or enlarging, and enlarged is its conventional name gloss.
It is useful to identify that biblical interpretation explicitly rather than inventing a modern phrase about success or personal ambition. The final t reflects a transmitted language form.
