MEANING & HISTORY
What does Jerilyn mean?
Jerilyn is an elaborated form of Jerry using the familiar name ending lyn. Jerry can itself represent different longer names, including Gerald and Jerome, so one ancient root gloss cannot cover all uses.
The direct formation is the combination of a familiar name and a productive ending. It need not be interpreted as a literal phrase joining two independent dictionary words.
