MEANING & HISTORY
What does Kyoko mean?
Kyoko is an unmarked Roman spelling of Japanese Kyōko. Two documented writings are 京子, combining capital city and child, and 恭子, combining respectful or polite and child.
Other combinations exist as well. The same pronunciation therefore carries more than one character-based formation. Neither example should be imposed on a person whose original Japanese writing is not known.
