MEANING & HISTORY
What does Lázaro mean?
Lázaro is the Spanish form of Lazarus. Greek Lazaros comes from Hebrew Eleazar, conventionally God has helped.
Biblical bearers gave the name a long Christian transmission. The accent marks the exact Spanish stress. Lázaro and Eleazar therefore have a documented historical connection despite their different spellings, rather than merely sharing a religious theme.
