MEANING & HISTORY
What does Narcisa mean?
Narcisa is the feminine form of Narcissus. Narcissus comes through Latin from Greek Narkissos, the personal and flower name familiar from classical myth.
A deeper link with Greek numbness or sleep is proposed rather than certain. The name also has early Christian bearers, so the mythological youth is not its only historical association. Narcisa’s feminine formation is clear without using the myth as a prediction of vanity or personality.
