MEANING & HISTORY
What does Pepito mean?
Pepito combines Pepe with the affectionate ending ito. Pepe is the familiar Spanish José, in the Joseph family.
The older Hebrew Yosef name is associated with God adding. The direct formation is dear or little Pepe; ito is not a separate Hebrew root. A familiar origin does not prevent Pepito from being someone’s complete registered given name.
