MEANING & HISTORY
What does Sixto mean?
Sixto is a Spanish form of Latin Sextus, the ordinal sixth. Such numerical names belonged to ancient Roman naming practice.
Later Christian bearers helped transmit it beyond that original context. The meaning does not prove that a present-day Sixto was the sixth child. The modern name can be chosen independently of birth order.
