MEANING & HISTORY
What does Adelardo mean?
Adelardo is a Spanish and Italian form of Adalhard. The Germanic compound joins noble with hard or brave.
The Latinized Adelardus form helped transmit it. Adelardo should not be confused with Abelardo simply because the names look similar: their published histories differ. The noble-bold root is supported for this specific Adalhard chain.
