MEANING & HISTORY
What does Galo mean?
Galo is the Spanish form of Gallus. Latin gallus means rooster, while Gallus can also be connected with a person from Gaul.
These are distinct accounts attached to the older name and should not be silently collapsed. The Spanish personal-name adaptation supplies the immediate formation. Christian saints bearing Gallus contributed a historical setting, but the name alone cannot decide which lexical association a family intended or establish a bearer’s geographical ancestry.
