MEANING & HISTORY
What does Sheena mean?
Sheena represents Scottish Gaelic Sìne, a form in the Jane and Joanna family. The older Hebrew source is conventionally God is gracious.
Popular fictional characters also used Sheena, but those modern appearances do not exhaust its origin. The Gaelic-to-English transmission provides a specific linguistic chain rather than an invented jungle or warrior meaning.
