MEANING & HISTORY
What does Jepoy mean?
Jepoy is documented in Philippine naming as Jeff with the familiar ending oy and a change in the final consonant. Jeff itself commonly shortens Jeffrey or Geoffrey, whose older Germanic roots have competing explanations.
The securely described formation is the local nickname, not a newly resolved ancient translation. The separate colloquial use of jepoy should not be imposed on a name bearer.
